Die Rede ist von der Lithium-Ionen-Batterie, die aus unserem Alltag kaum wegzudenken ist. Mittlerweile ist sie sogar Bestandteil von Elektroautos und E-Bikes. F\u00fcr die Entwicklung der Batterie erhielten ihre Erfinder im Jahr 2019 den Chemie-Nobelpreis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"para para_$ID\/NormalParagraphStyle\"><span class=\"char char_$ID\/[No_character_style]\">Forschende der\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uq.edu.au\/search\/?q=battery&amp;submit=&amp;output=xml_no_dtd&amp;client=ws&amp;proxystylesheet=ws\" target=\"_self\">Universit\u00e4t Queensland<\/a>\u00a0in Australien haben jetzt eine Batterie entwickelt, die keine Lithium-Ionen, sondern Aluminium-Ionen enth\u00e4lt &#8211; und fordern damit Akkuhersteller weltweit heraus, wie\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressetext.com\/news\/202104290022\" target=\"_self\">&#8220;Pressetext.com&#8221;\u00a0<\/a>schreibt.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"para para_Zwischentitel\"><span class=\"char char_$ID\/[No_character_style]\">70-mal schnellere Ladung<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"para para_$ID\/NormalParagraphStyle\"><span class=\"char char_$ID\/[No_character_style]\">&#8220;Nach mehreren Jahren intensiver Forschung zur Verbesserung der Aluminium-Ionen-Batterie freuen wir uns, in der Phase der Entwicklung kommerzieller Prototypen f\u00fcr nachhaltigere, schneller ladende Batterien zu sein&#8221;, sagt Forschungsleiter Alan Rowan. Die Aluminium-Ionen-Batterie habe eine h\u00f6here Energiedichte als das Lithium-basierte Modell und damit eine l\u00e4ngere Nutzungsdauer. Zudem lasse sie sich bis zu 70-mal schneller aufladen, versichert Rowan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"para para_$ID\/NormalParagraphStyle\"><span class=\"char char_$ID\/[No_character_style]\">Die neue Batterie enth\u00e4lt eine positive Elektrode aus Graphen, die von der Graphene Manufacturing Group entwickelt wurde. Graphen ist eine Folie aus bienenwabenf\u00f6rmig angeordneten Kohlenstoffatomen, beziehungsweise aus mehreren derartigen Schichten. Die Folie ist extrem d\u00fcnn &#8211; und damit unsichtbar. Die Herstellung der Elektroden basiere auf einem Verfahren des Materialwissenschaftlers Michael Yu und sei keineswegs trivial. Die zweite Elektrode besteht aus einer Aluminiumverbindung, dazwischen liegt der Elektrolyt.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"para para_Zwischentitel\"><span class=\"char char_$ID\/[No_character_style]\">Alu-Batterie spart Strom und Ressourcen<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"para para_$ID\/NormalParagraphStyle\"><span class=\"char char_$ID\/[No_character_style]\">Die neue Entwicklung ist zwar \u00e4hnlich aufgebaut wie eine g\u00e4ngige Lithium-Ionen-Batterie, hat aber laut den Forschenden eine dreimal l\u00e4ngere Lebensdauer.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cetoday.ch\/news\/2021-04-11\/warum-batterien-auslaufen-und-wie-man-vorbeugen-kann\" target=\"_self\">Warum Batterien \u00fcberhaupt auslaufen, und was man dagegen tun kann, lesen Sie \u00fcbrigens hier.<\/a>\u00a0Die Alu-Batterie gehe auch nicht in Flammen auf, wenn sie besch\u00e4digt wird, wie dies die Lithium-Batterie tut.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"para para_$ID\/NormalParagraphStyle\"><span class=\"char char_$ID\/[No_character_style]\">Zudem sei sie wesentlich umweltfreundlicher: &#8220;Lithium-Ionen-Batterien ben\u00f6tigen Selten-Erdmetalle, bei deren Abbau die Umwelt massiv gesch\u00e4digt wird&#8221;, wird Dean Moss, Chef des hochschuleigenen B\u00fcros Uniquest, von &#8220;Pressetext&#8221; zitiert. Auch w\u00fcrden f\u00fcr die Produktion grosse Wassermengen ben\u00f6tigt sowie umweltsch\u00e4dliche Chemikalien eingesetzt. Dies sei bei der Entwicklung der Aluminium-Ionen-Batterie nicht der Fall.
