Auch \u00fcber 2.000 Zyklen erwies sich die neue Technologie als stabil und sicher. Den Erfolg erreichte das Team unter der Leitung von Professor Chao-Yang Wang mit einer\u00a0<strong>neuartigen Methode zur Temperaturregulierung\u00a0<\/strong>innerhalb der Batterie.<\/p>\n<p>Das Forschungsvorhaben wurde unterst\u00fctzt von der US Air Force, dem Verteidigungsministerium, dem Energieministerium und dem Start Up Unternehmen EC Power.<\/p>\n<h2>Neuartiges Temperaturmanagement<\/h2>\n<p>Um auf die beeindruckende Ladezeit zu kommen, entwickelten die Forscher eine M\u00f6glichkeit, die Temperatur des Akkus durch einen neuartigen Aufbau zu regulieren.\u00a0 Daf\u00fcr erg\u00e4nzten sie eine d\u00fcnne Nickelfolie auf der Innenseite der Batterie. Denn nach Angaben der Wissenschaftler arbeiten Batterien am effizientesten bei bestimmten Temperaturen, die es weder zu unter- noch zu \u00fcberschreiten gilt. Die neue Methode erfordert keine aufw\u00e4ndigen Heiz- oder K\u00fchlaggregate, um die Optimal-Temperatur der Batterie zu gew\u00e4hrleisten.<\/p>\n<p>Das beteiligte Start Up EC Power arbeitet aktuell daran, die neuartige Batterie industriell zu produzieren. Daf\u00fcr errichtet das Unternehmen derzeit eine Produktionsst\u00e4tte im US-Bundesstaat Pennsylvania. Die Technologie soll\u00a0<strong>in zwei Jahren kommerziell verf\u00fcgbar<\/strong>\u00a0sein.<\/p>\n<h2>Grundstein f\u00fcr kleinere Batterien<\/h2>\n<p>Damit erlaubt die Technologie potenziell kleinere Batterien in E-Autos, da die fehlende Reichweite durch schnelleres Aufladen ausgeglichen werden kann.
