Go-karts are the perfect fun-mobiles to bring out the kid in anyone. But gone are the days when you had to choke down a cloud of exhaust to the deafening roar of a single screaming, overworked piston. These days,\u00a0electric go-karts<\/a>\u00a0are providing kids and adults alike with fast, silent, and clean thrills around the local track or the neighborhood lady\u2019s rose bushes.<\/p>\n

For this week\u2019s entry in the\u00a0Awesomely Weird Alibaba Electric Vehicle of the Week<\/a>, I\u2019ve found a pair of interesting electric go-karts for both adults and kids.<\/p>\n

As much fun as the\u00a0weird electric SUV<\/a>\u00a0I found for last week\u2019s entry was, $3,200 may still be a bit steep for some people.<\/p>\n

So what do you think of this\u00a0$390 electric go-kart<\/a>\u00a0instead, eh?<\/p>\n

Designed for off-road racing as well as tarmac shenanigans, this little thing can hit speeds of up to 20 mph (32 km\/h) thanks to its 1,000W motor.<\/p>\n

The go-kart features an adjustable seat to fit kids and adults (it\u2019s rated for \u201c7+-year-olds\u201d) and has a weight limit of up to 220 lb (100 kg).<\/p>\n

Now I know what you\u2019re thinking: \u201cSure, I\u2019m professional. I can handle this thing on two wheels at 20 mph. But do I want to put my 7-year-old at the wheel under those speeds?\u201d<\/p>\n

Fear not, responsible legal guardian! The go-kart has three selectable speeds with options for slower 5 and 10 mph (8 and 17 km\/h) settings with a key switch that your mischievous kids can\u2019t alter without your help.<\/p>\n
