We are calling for the S Plaid to be grounded, not to be on the road until we get to the bottom of this,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"highlight\" data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\">Tesla\u00a0<\/span>did not have an immediate comment when contacted by Reuters.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"highlight\" data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\">Tesla\u00a0<\/span>Chief Executive Elon Musk touted the performance version of its Model S sedan as being \u201cfaster than any Porsche, safer than any\u00a0<a class=\"auto-link\" title=\"Volvo\" href=\"https:\/\/driving.ca\/volvo\" target=\"_self\">Volvo<\/a>\u201d at a launch event at the automaker\u2019s factory in Fremont, California, last month.
