It also reduced panel weight using thin glass substrates. It didn\u2019t said, however, if the result was confirmed by an independent entity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stability<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s scientists improved the crystal structure of the perovskite by replacing <span lang=\"en-US\">methylamine, which affects the thermal stability of the solar cells,<\/span> with formamidinium, cesium and rubidium.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy improving the perovskite layer material in the future we aim to achieve high efficiency comparable to that of crystalline silicon solar cells and to establish new technologies for practical use in new markets,\u201d Panasonic said.
