Podr\u00eda superar a los paneles solares en cuanto a eficiencia.<\/p>\n<p>La luz del sol se ha estudiado y usado para producir energ\u00eda desde hace m\u00e1s de 70 a\u00f1os. \u00bfY si ma\u00f1ana tambi\u00e9n pudi\u00e9ramos explotar las sombras? Investigadores de la Universidad Nacional de Singapur han decidido dar a este efecto \u00f3ptico un nuevo papel en la captaci\u00f3n de <a href=\"https:\/\/ecoinventos.com\/energias-renovables\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">energ\u00eda renovable<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Este grupo de investigaci\u00f3n ha creado un dispositivo bautizado como generador de energ\u00eda de efecto sombra (SEG), que usa el contraste entre las \u00e1reas iluminadas y no iluminadas para producir electricidad. La investigaci\u00f3n se public\u00f3 en la revista cient\u00edfica Energy &amp; Environmental Science el 15 de abril de 2020.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>Las sombras son omnipresentes. En las <a href=\"https:\/\/ecoinventos.com\/que-es-y-como-funciona-la-energia-solar-fotovoltaica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">aplicaciones fotovoltaicas<\/a> u optoelectr\u00f3nicas convencionales, su presencia es perjudicial porque disminuye el rendimiento de los dispositivos. En este trabajo hemos explotado el contraste de luz y sombra como una fuente indirecta de energ\u00eda.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00bfPero c\u00f3mo es posible en la pr\u00e1ctica capturar energ\u00eda de este efecto? Los cient\u00edficos han creado un prototipo de SEG que consiste en una base de pl\u00e1stico flexible transparente y cuatro <a href=\"https:\/\/ecoinventos.com\/celulas-solares-fotovoltaicas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">c\u00e9lulas solares<\/a>, cada una de las cuales consiste en una fina pel\u00edcula de oro depositada en una oblea de silicio. Cuando el SEG se coloca completamente al sol o a la sombra, genera poca o ninguna electricidad. Sin embargo, cuando la luz llega s\u00f3lo a la mitad del cuerpo, hay una diferencia de voltaje entre las secciones iluminadas y no iluminadas. Esta diferencia, a su vez, produce una corriente el\u00e9ctrica.<\/p>\n<p>Durante las pruebas de laboratorio del sistema, medio atenuado, fue capaz de alimentar peque\u00f1os dispositivos como un reloj digital (1,2 V). Mostr\u00f3 el <strong>doble de eficiencia de un m\u00f3dulo fotovoltaico de capacidad similar y en las mismas condiciones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>El equipo tambi\u00e9n demostr\u00f3 que el SEG puede actuar como un sensor autoalimentado para monitorear objetos en movimiento. Cuando una sombra pasa por delante de ella, activa el sensor que registra la presencia y el movimiento de cualquier objeto.
